Before migrating to Version 6 from version 5, we bind all the existing packages with explain 'YES'. After the migration, we rebind the packages with explain 'YES' and did the plan compare. we found that the access path of some of the packages have changed. So we update the OPTHINT column of the plan_table with "goodpath" for all the version-5 access path rows for the impacted packages. The result of the rebind with OPTHINT option is not working for some of the packages. We then took a runstats with keycard option. This effort also did not solve the access path change problem. Can someone tell me what should we do to make the opthint works ? Regards, Ted Tan
