It is a bit tricky, and not the most elegant solution, but I does give the result I wanted: It highlights DO, ENTER, EXIT, strings, integers, FOR, IF, ORIGIN and INCLUDE, and maybe some other stuff, too ... There is a way to build intelligence into Nedit with macros, but the last time i tried that, I managed to crash Linux (which is really not easy) -- Best wishes, Atle users.skynet.be/atle
