If it hangs in a wait()-statement you may try to run strace with -f (See "man strace" for more info.) to see what the children are doing. If you haven't got strace, get it and install it! (BTW, it is called truss on Solaris, where strace does something different.) If you don't get any further, you may send the last 20 (or something) lines here, to Mjølner, and/or to SuSE. Affi
