Have you checked this: environment variables installation directories system memory - swap space Motif/X/Xt - installed and working? /etc/ld.so.conf set up right (loads the right so - libraries)? Beware that SuSe is very non-standard in it directory set-up. If you have a RedHat or any other 'normal' Linux distro, you might want to install that, and only use SuSe tu install packages (this what I do, and it works great). Just my 2 pfennig ... Atle
