I don't know if this happens on every single PC w/ Windows 98, but please check it! I wrote this little program: ORIGIN '~beta/basiclib/betaenv'; --- program: descriptor -- (# t:^text; do 'BETA CRASH'->t.append; #) Of course this program gives a runtime error (that's what I intended), BUT - when I launch from a local drive, e.g. drive C I get a "BETA execution aborted" and a dump - when I launch from a network drive (Windows network), I get an application fault (this pretty standard Windows dialog with the pretty red circle with a white cross :-) Could you please check that? This way (2nd one) I don't get any dump! Regards, Sascha Kimmel
