That sounds better than "no" :-) > There are a number of additional platforms considered for the Mjølner > System, and BeOS is one of them. However it IS a small platform, ....which could change IF companies like Mjolner would support this platform, don't you think? It's quite nice to use an OS that is bootable in less than 30 seconds with a bit of Unix, MacOS and Windoze. The file and access management is the same as on Unix. And in contrast to Linux, which Mjolner does currently support, it is a much more professional approach for people who work with it instead of Linux being (well, don't send complaints please ;-) a professional approach for people who code for it. There is support for USB keyboards and mice, ZIP drives, digital cameras - even TV cards integrated and in contrast to Linux you don't need to compile your kernel again - BeOS can load and unload drivers at runtime and there is really much freeeware available for BeOS right know - it looks as if there's more freeware available than commercial software, which would fit - that's my personal opinion - to Mjolner's new BETA 5 license making it easy for programmers to develop software for this OS. > so > there are currently a couple of more interesting choices. I'm interested - please tell me which ones. > But your > point of a lack of decent development platforms on BeOS is duly noted. It would really be great to have BETA on BeOS. Regards, Sascha Kimmel
