Currently it's all VB or Java, I haven't heard of anybody around here using BETA in any project - 99.9% of IT professionals here (Canada) have never even heard about it. BETA has been used as the first programming language in computer science at the University of Dortmund, Germany until the middle of last year for many years. Now they have switched to JAVA, which many people do NOT regard as a good choice (although many do because they say that BETA is too unknown and that learning Java is "in"). Well, but is Java really better than BETA? I don't think so. Take C++, cut off 40%, change the result by 5% and call it JAVA (formerly known as OAK) - that's my personal opinion. BETA is better :) Regards, Sascha Kimmel (now posted with Netscape 4.08)
