I unpacked the files in a 'betadbc' under my beta installation directory, at the same level as basiclib, then tried opening some files. While attempting to parse a file, Sif would complain that it couldn't find fragments like basiclib/file. I hacked one of those files and inserted '/v1.6/' after 'basiclib' in the INCLUDE and it removed that particular error. Of course I can draw Perl and fix the whole betadbc tree, but there's got to be a better way... I did notice betatar, but couldn't find an 'untar' option. I found no help in the FAQ nor dejanews. Sorry for asking trivial questions, I don't have the professional edition yet. I assume it comes with manuals giving that kind of information??
