Beta completed fine, so it seems like a problem with the installation of the GNU tools. Have you got a sh, gcc and ld in your path? They should be in the global path, not in the local path of the shell you run beta from. Set them in your autoexec.bat, if you're running Windows 95, or from the control panel, if you're running NT. Try runnning "beta -s 23 0 HelloWorld". This will leave the jobfile in the directory \beta\test\nti\gnu\. Try executing the jobfile: "cd \beta\test", "sh nti/gnu/helloworld.job".
