This means no more SPAM, no more discussions of freeware C++ compilers and no request for beta-testing software. While the moderation will primarily be handled by Mjølner employees, we will strive to uphold an extremely mild criteria for moderation. We plan to drop articles with no BETA related content whatsoever; that is to say, articles regarding `Make Money Fast' schemes, generic spam, requests for freeware C++ compilers or the usual beta-software announcements will not make it to the mailing list. Critical postings about the BETA language or The Mjølner BETA System obviously adheres to the charter of the group, and will not be subject to censorship. We do not intend to make editorial changes to your articles either. The newsgroup, however, will _not_ change status. It is a highly difficult process to change the moderation status of a newsgroup, so we won't even try. If you're tired of the off-topic postings in the group, consider joining the mailing-list, by sending a mail to usergroup-request@mjolner.dk with the word subscribe in the subject. As a side-effect of the new mailing-list software, there is now an automatic email archive online (to supplement the WWW one). Send a mail to usergroup-request@mjolner.dk with the word help in the subject for details. I may have done something wrong while installing this software. Feel free to send problems and questions my way! Now, I'll close my eyes, cross my fingers, press send, and see what happens with this article! :-) Sincerely, -- Lars Balker Rasmussen, Software Engineer, Mjolner Informatics ApS lbr@mjolner.dk
