PLEASE HELP Date: 24 Jul 1996 14:18:25 GMT Organization: none-set Lines: 46 Message-ID: <4t5bbh$dhc$5@mhadf.production.compuserve.com> Please help if you can!!!!! I've come across a number of problems recently wh Visual Basic 3. I wondered if anyone else out there has come across the same best to tackle it. Here goes:- ** PROBLEMS WITH VISUAL BASIC VER 3.0 ** PROBLEM ONE Problem : When running a program under windows 95 and printing, some of the sh grey turn to black, and some of the lines drawn increase their width when a fixed length string is printed with nothing in it Win 95 seem small squares (How many sqaures depends on the length of your string I have drawn some boxes in my application and when they are printed they seem to be split into two ? (Very Strange And Only On Some). Details : The source code has been compiled under windows 3.1 and then run und windows 95 to print, the problem above appears. So I compiled the so under windows 95 and then printed, the above problem is still there. PROBLEM TWO Problem : When using the printer object how on earth do you print in duplex, I this if I change the printer manager, but this will only allow me to document using short edge binding or long edge binding, I need to be change from one to the other half way through printing my document. a windows API function but this does not seem to work, also when I s escape code to change from landscape to portrait do you always have printer.EndDoc to flush it, because it always gives me a blank page Details : What I am trying to do here is print 10 pages all in duplex, the fir in portrait using long edge binding and the second 5 in landscape us short edge binding, So as you can see I need to be able to change fr to the other (This Really Needs To Be Sent As One Document). PROBLEM THREE Problem : When sending documents to the printer manager on another pc, this so causes the printer manager to hang. It looks like the more files you most likely it is to hang but sending the same amount of data in hal documents does not seem to hang as much, is there a limit on how man you can send to a printer manager? does sending it across a network difference.
