In the coming version (v2.0) some of the enhancements that I can mention is that PostScript output can be generated by most object/paint type combinations. And besides this, Bifrost will be possible to use with the Graphical User Interface Library Lidskjalv that we are currently developing. This will make the process of reating portable applications with windows, menus, etc. AND object oriented graphics. Besides this we hope to have all the remaining parts implemented. We respect to your specific question: You ask if PixMaps will be implemented. As i recall it, only readFromPBMFile and writeToPBMfile are unimplemented for PixMaps at the moment. Is it these two operations you need? For the Intersects (and Within) operations, it is a little hard in general to determine if e.g. a Shape (which may have holes) and an ellipse intersects. Probably the native Region utilities will have to be used. Is your need to determine whether one Shape intersects with another Shape?
