I'm always suspicious about OO languages and embedded systems because: 1. They tend to use a lot of data space, with out you even finding out. 2. They generate a lot of code 3. Can it generate the datastructures I need for manipulating bits. It's usually hard to fiddle with bits without writing a lot of code. Of course it can be encapsulated, but how efficient is the compiler to optimize this. I was taught Beta five years ago, at Aalborg University, by one of its inventors.
