I know one book about that issue, It's a book written by two people from 
the Computer Science Department University of Aarhus.

The authors are namely Michael.I.Schwartzback and Jens Palsberg.
The book is published by John Wiley & Sons, ISBM 0 471 942128 X 1993

If you have access to Mosaic, you should try th check out Michaels Homepage, 
there is some stuff about the book too, namely the preface & table of contents.
